Shop catalogue: principles
The optional shop catalogue enables you to manage the list of products distributed in bulk in your shop.
When the shop catalogue is activated, the product search when filling a dispenser is limited to the products in the catalogue. This gives you greater control over the list of products actually registered for traceability, reduces the risk of error, and makes the search more efficient.
What’s more, if you use short codes (“PLU” - price look-up), you can enter them in the catalogue, and use them to search for products when filling dispensers, in addition to the product name.
If you have self-service in-store weighing, and the scale code is different from the PLU, you can also enter the scale code.
Optionally, you can specify a product reference (internal or supplier), which will appear on the order list and labels.
For each product in your catalogue, you can also highlight other products in your shop: they will appear as suggested products in the consumer product sheet.
Finally, by using the catalogue, PLU codes and eventual scale codes, you can, where appropriate, take advantage of integration with connected scales in shop, and print a QR code on the scale label. By scanning the QR code on the scale label, consumers will be taken to the corresponding product sheet, containing product information, the batch number and the best-before date (or use-by date) of the product.
