Activation and entry of PLU codes, scale codes and product references

To activate the use of PLU codes, scale codes and product references:

  • go to the shop catalogue parameters page (Management page, shop catalogue banner, parameters icon) settings)
  • activate the corresponding option (Using PLU codes, Using scale codes, Using product references)

You can then enter product codes from the catalogue, or when adding a new product to the catalogue.

Searching by code

When filling in an empty dispenser or performing a search from the dispenser page, the PLU or scale code can be used for the search as a more efficient alternative to the product name.

Note that the product reference cannot be used for searching.

Printing codes on labels

When printing labels, the PLU code, scale code and product reference (depending on the label format selected) will appear on the label.

Product references and order list

When you add a product to orders, its product reference appears in the order list.

Integration with connected scales

Finally, by using the catalogue and PLU or scale codes, you can, where appropriate, benefit from integration with connected scales in shop, and print a QR code on the scale label. By scanning the QR code on the scale label, consumers can find the corresponding product sheet, containing product information, the batch number and the best-before date (or use-by date) of the product.
